Law, Government, and Public Service Minor

The mission of the Law, Government, and Public Service Minor is to develop critical thinking skills for understanding and analyzing the laws and structures that support government and nonprofit organizations.

This minor offers undergraduate students an early opportunity to engage with the legal and organizational systems that shape government and public service work. • Learn to craft, analyze, and evaluate legal arguments.
  • Apply public management theories that inform the ways that government and nonprofit organizations meet public needs.
  • Analyze the impact of the institutional dynamics and interactions of public service organizations at the local, state, and national levels.
  • Understand how law and government affect daily life.
