Film Studies Certificate

The Department of English & Comparative Literature is a central hub for the study of cinema at UNC-Chapel Hill. Graduate students can earn their Graduate Certificate in Film Studies through the Department of English and Comparative Literature. Pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Film Studies gives students opportunity to demonstrate their work in a growing area of study within the humanities. The certificate program also encourages students to take film related courses taught by other departments here at UNC, some of which include American Studies, Communications, Art & Art History, Romance Studies, and African, African American, & Diaspora Studies.
