Doctoral Oral Comprehensive Exam | Student has successfully completed a comprehensive oral exam. See Examination section. |
Doctoral Written Exam | Student has successfully completed a first (or core) written exam, typically a comprehensive exam taken after completing coursework. See Examination section. |

Prospectus Oral Exam | Student has completed an oral exam of their prospectus; their committee has judged the dissertation project proposal to be feasible and research may begin. See Dissertation Requirements section. |
